Hi! I'm Sarafina, and with over 25 years of experience in the dance industry as a dance leader, performer, events manager and coordinator of dance in education, dance has always been a big part of my life. A few of my best moments have been dancing with Boyzone on tour, working for Hip Hop international (UK) and running my award winning community dance project backed by the Princes Trust.
Dance has always been a way to express myself without words and set myself free in a ‘safe’ space. As an industry that isn’t always committed to safety, I have seen how children and young people have been affected by the misconduct. I’m now a mother of four and passionate more than ever about the safety of children and young people, so it’s important for me to help to make dance ‘spaces’ safe for generations to come.
I'm here to break safeguarding down to you in plain English. In my past life, I experienced the demands of being an influential dance leader, and I totally get it.
